On Sept. 4th, 2007, Frank Cabral was killed while cycling on RI-1. This nearby 25.5 mile safe loop celebrates his life and raises “share the road” awareness.
Fun family event goes on rain or shine. Over 200 participants last year. Pre-registration strongly encouraged. Police stationed at crossings.

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, then you’ve read about the work Lori DiBiasio has done in promoting Frank’s Law. We just received word that the RI General Assembly now has official designated this H5074 for consideration. In particular, it would require:
31-15-18. Keeping a three foot passing distance when passing a bicycle. [...]

[ September 13, 2008; 10:00 am; ] On September 4th, 2007, Frank Cabral took his last bicycle ride. Frank was struck and killed by a motorist on Route 1 in Charleston RI. He was 41 years yong. He loved life, and truly lived it.
